Tuesday’s Torch 516

December 25, 2018

Merry Christmas, I thank my Father in Heaven that I can share a message with you today. I have had a great time trying my best to make Christmas wonderful for my sweet children and my family. Being able to show my love even by spending money is a great thing. Trying to live my life as righteously as possible is another gift I give to my family, and one of the only gifts that we can give to God.

I am far from perfect, but by the grace of God I am on the right path and I know in whom I put my trust. The savior has made all things possible. Even though it is sometimes hard, and suffering can become quite exhausting, and sometimes quitting seems the only course of action to get any relief, but that is not the way or the truth. God can make things right. The savior is not only the way, He is also the truth and the life.

I would like to share a powerful quote by Thomas S. Monson, it reads, “Some of you may at times have cried out in your suffering, wondering why our Heavenly Father would allow you to go through whatever trials you are facing. … Our mortal life, however, was never meant to be easy or consistently pleasant. … Each one of us experiences dark days when our loved ones pass away, painful times when our health is lost, feelings of being forsaken when those we love seem to have abandoned us. These and other trials present us with the real test of our ability to endure. …

“Only the Master knows the depths of our trials, our pain and our suffering. He alone offers us eternal peace in times of adversity. He alone touches our tortured souls with His comforting words: ‘Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light’ [Matthew 11:28–30]”

I pray each of us can place our sins, shortcomings, pains and sufferings into the hands of the Savior who has already suffered for them. He has already paid the price. I know that my redeemer lives, I know that He was and is who He said He was, I know that He was born as the scriptures describe. I know that He lived a perfect life and then gave that perfect life willingly for each of us.

The Atonement blesses each of our lives, through that amazing power we can be strengthened and saved, our families can be strengthened and saved because All things are truly possible to them that believe. I believe, and I know that Jesus is the Christ. I love Him, I celebrate Him, I place my hopes and dreams in His worthy hands. It is in His name I leave these words with you, even the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Tuesdays Torch has been viewed in countries all across the globe through our website and social media. We pray the words of every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please share Tuesdays Torch and encourage others with it. To partner with Tuesdays Torch and help expand our reach please contact us. We pray the Lord will touch our readers. All of what Christ did was so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk about what He did and is still doing. The best thing God’s done is send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will invite the Lord into their lives by asking Him to forgive their sins and believing that He is the Son of God. Please share testimonies, feedback or encouraging words by email at: tuesdaystorch@gmail.comwe enjoy hearing from you. No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
