Tuesday’s Torch 512

November 27, 2018

Bobby Stewart

This week I want to share a very brief torch message. With Thanksgiving just passing and Christmas rapidly approaching there are many blessings surrounding us. There is so much love.

I want us to remember though, that not all have an easy time during this season. Depression runs rampant, suicide rates are the highest right around Christmas time. People struggle to count their blessings. People fail to see their own worth. I’m going to tell everyone that reads these words or watches this video and hears these words: You are loved. You are a very special Son or Daughter of a Loving God. Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, he took upon himself all of your sins, weaknesses, mistakes, pains and suffering and He paid for them all with His life. His death and resurrection completed the miracle that is the Atonement. This price was paid because you are worth it. Yes. You.

I’m going to share these words regarding Gods love which is given to us all freely. In Romans 8:35-39, Paul states:

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

As we have been reflecting on all of those things we are thankful for, I hope we have also felt the love our Father in Heaven has for us. I hope we have felt the love our Savior has for us. I pray as Christmas approaches that we don’t lose sight of our blessings. That even if we are struggling that we are able to stay positive, stay hopeful, and know that also in the words of Paul from earlier in the same chapter, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Ponder that.

I solemnly testify that God lives and that He loves us. That Jesus Christ is the Savior and that He lived a perfect life and laid down that perfect life for us because He loves us all that much. I know that He rose again on the third day, that the Atonement can work miracles in our lives, and that the promise of happiness and eternal life is before us. God bless each of you. Stay strong and know that you are loved. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Tuesdays Torch has been viewed in countries all across the globe through our website and social media. We pray the words of every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please share Tuesdays Torch and encourage others with it. To partner with Tuesdays Torch and help expand our reach please contact us. We pray the Lord will touch our readers. All of what Christ did was so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk about what He did and is still doing. The best thing God’s done is send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will invite the Lord into their lives by asking Him to forgive their sins and believing that He is the Son of God. Please share testimonies, feedback or encouraging words by email at: tuesdaystorch@gmail.comwe enjoy hearing from you. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch on our website , by email, Facebook and Twitter @tuesdaystorch Thanks and God Bless!

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
