You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them. (Psalm 89:9)
Last week we learned that sometimes only one thing is left for us to understand before our faith reaches new levels. Our song was One Thing Remains by Jesus Culture. Our God rules over all the seas; when the waves are rough He calms them. The final song for our year of praise will be Oceans by Hillsong United. The link to this song is https://youtu.be/xoZE2RsthRg or search for it on YouTube. He calls us out on the waters into the great unknown, where feet may fail and there we find Him in the mystery. In Oceans deep our faith will stand as we have learned through this year of praising Him. In this summary of last year’s Torches every song title we used will be represented. We need a Heart Of Worship to Bless The Lord Because He Lives and gives us 10,000 Reasons to show Him our gratitude. He is the Lord of Angel Armies, an Unstoppable God and we can Trust It All to Him. The Spirit Of The Living God says Come As You Are and Be Lifted Up when I Set A Fire in your heart. Only One Thing Remains when we learn that the God Of Wonders sent our Hosanna the blessed one who comes in His name. How He Loves Us can be found In Christ Alone; He is our Cornerstone Forever. Love Is War but Christ Is Enough to Break Every Chain because At The Cross Death Was Arrested. He is Resurrecting Every Good Thing in us so we are Always Alive in Him. We are No Longer Slaves when we Come To The Altar to make Him our Only King Forever. Faith Is A Place where We Believe that The Lord Our God is Great In Us because He is a Good, Good Father. God Is Able to make everyday a Glorious Day when we realize He is the Beautiful One that made it that way.
The whole earth belongs to God and everything in it, the world and everyone who lives. He founded the Oceans and established the earth among the waters (Psalm 24:1-2). Since it is His already; wherever this year may take us it is not outside the reach of our God. He is our refuge and strength; our help in times of trouble. This is why we should not fear; even if the mountains crumble into the sea, when Oceans rage or the earth is shaken beneath our feet (Psalm 46:1-3). Jonah learned this when he called on the Lord from the deep waters and was answered by Him. From the realm of death in the swirly depths of the sea waves swept over him. He said to the Lord, “I know I was banished from You but let me look again toward Your holy temple (Jonah 2:2-4).” When Jonah turned his heart back to the Lord He was there to rescue him. Suddenly there was a way when survival seemed hopeless. God made a way for him through the sea, a path was made through the troubled waters (Isaiah 43:16). In 2017 God can make a way for us to do what seems impossible in the midst of our troubles to. I will tell the story of my life this year and speak prophetic words of encouragement to readers as we pray together for the Lord to do His will in our lives. Dear Jesus I Come to you; Blessed Be Your Name. Lord I Give You My Heart and ask that you Do What You Want to do with my life. Lord I am Here For You because You Alone will Open The Eyes Of My Heart. I ask that You Make Me Brave so I’m Trading My Sorrow and I Lay Me Down to follow you. Better Is One Day In Your Presence than any day where I try to do it without you. Lord I know that Your Love Never Fails and that you will be with me forever and always. In Oceans deep help me learn how to rest in your embrace because I am yours and you are mine. In Jesus Name, Amen.

He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk about what He did and what He is doing. The best thing God’s done is send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will invite the Lord into their lives by asking Him to forgive their sins and believing that He is the Son of God.
