Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. (Psalm 84:4)
Last week we found out that Christ is always there for us so we should be there for Him by helping wherever we see a need. We praised the Lord with the song Here For You by Matt Redman. Spending one blessed day in the presence of the Lord is the greatest thing we can do and nothing else can compare to it. When we dwell in His house we will forever be praising Him. Today our song will be Better Is One Day by Kutless. The link to the song is https://youtu.be/jdE03zRJtxw or search for the song on YouTube. The dwelling place of the Lord is lovely. Our soul is faint as we long for Him because only He will satisfy our hearts. In His presence we see beneath the shadow of His wings. Better Is One Day in the courts of the Lord then thousands elsewhere. One day if we believe in Christ we will get to spend forever with Him. While we remain here on earth a whole day spent with the Lord can be an incredible feeling. We enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. We give thanks to Him and praise His name (Psalm 100:4). In the dream I had last week it seemed that the crowd I saw was standing in the courts before the throne of God. I never saw Him on the throne but that place was special and it was one of the dozen or so God experiences I’ve had. Times in the presence of God have shown me that there’s nothing better than being with Him. Unbelievers and many believers have not had an experience with God but they are very real and life changing. We enter His courts through praise and by being thankful for what the Lord has done. Better Is One Day with Him then every day we spend without abiding in His glory.
We enter into the house of God because of His love for us; we bow in reverence at His holy temple (Psalm 5:7). We enter His house because He loved us enough to send His Son to be a sacrifice for our sins. This is why we have reverence, He is good and we can trust Him in all things. We bow not because we are forced to serve Him but since He loves us we want to be in service to Him. We may walk in His love and goodness all the days of our lives and abide in His house forever (Psalm 23:6). One day with Him is better than any day but He wants us to experience Him every day for all of eternity. We are greatly blessed when we choose to be near to God and abide in His courts. We are filled with good things from His house and from the holy temple (Psalm 65:4). Abiding in the presence of God basically boils down to whether or not we choose Him. If we choose Him we are opening our lives up to receive whatever good things He has instore for us. Better Is One Day in the courts of the Lord than thousands elsewhere; it is better to be a doorkeeper in the house of God than to dwell in the house of the wicked (Psalm 84:10). The most despised job in the house of God is better than the best we could find with the wicked. The statutes of the Lord stand firm; holiness adorns His house for endless days (Psalm 93:5). If we learn to follow the statutes of God we are learning how to spend more time in His presence. Holiness for endless days adorns His dwelling place; one day with the Lord can be endless because He is not restricted by time. We must never forget this one thing; With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day (2 Peter 3:8). The goodness of God is never late in one day He can accomplish what might have taken a thousand years without Him. He is patient with us so we will choose to follow after Him. Better Is One Day because that day never has to end if we choose to abide in Him and live our lives like He told us to.

The best thing God’s done is send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord.
