Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
Last week we learned that in Christ we overcome and are victorious because only through Him are we made blameless. We blessed the Lord with the song In Christ Alone by Owl City. The Lord is still asking the questions to us in today’s verse. Who shall He send? Who will go for us? Isaiah said I am here God; send me! Will we give this answer or will we stay home? We are here for God or we are missing who we were created to be. Our song today is Here For You by Matt Redman. The link to the song is https://youtu.be/Z1dgogFbPUE or search for the song on YouTube. With our praises we welcome the Lord into our midst. Our songs are a sign that we are there to show gratitude to Him. We call on His breath to fill our hearts with life. By doing this we are telling Him we are Here For You. To Him our heart is open wide with nothing left to hide. He is our one desire, alone He is holy and our worthy God. When the angel of the Lord called to him Abraham said, “Here I am” (Genesis 22:11). He was there for God when God called on him. Moses noticed something different about a bush he saw burning in the wilderness so he went and investigated why it wasn’t being consumed. God saw that Moses went to look so He called out to him. Like Abraham his answer was here I am (Exodus 3:4). When God calls to us or we see a sign that can only be Him calling out to us are we willing to be there for God? Recently God showed me the crowd I was influencing in a dream. I realized He doesn’t call us only to save us but so we will say we are Here For You. We will reach out to others not only in word but by showing them Christ in our own lives.
In the parable of the sheep and goat nations the sheep are separated from the goats and kept in the pen on the right. The king says to those on the right, that we are blessed by the Father so we can take our inheritance that was prepared at the beginning of creation. We enter the right pasture by how we treat others when they are down on their luck. We feed the hungry, satisfy the thirsty, invite the stranger, cloth the naked, look after the sick and visit the prisoners (Matthew 25:34-36). By telling God we are Here For You means that we are there for others when we see there is a need. We must accept one another just as Christ accepted us, in order for us to bring true praise to God (Romans 15:7). Accepting others praises God more than singing songs just because that’s what we do at church. God and our savior Jesus Christ have shown compassion and comforted us in our troubles, so that we will comfort others in their troubles just as we have been comforted by Him (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Being there for God means showing His love and offering comfort to those who need relief from their struggles. Through Jesus we will continually have a sacrifice of praise coming from our lips to show off His goodness. However, we must not do this without remembering to do good and share it with others because our sacrifices are pleasing to the Lord (Hebrews 13:15-16). By saying Here I am, send me to help those in need we let God know exactly who we are in Him and this is great pleasure to Him. Jesus says Here I am! He stands at our door knocking, do we tell Him we are Here For You and open the door so we can join in fellowship with Him (Revelation 3:20)? Or do we let Him knock and wait until it is too late? Learning to deal with others may not be the easy but if we follow Christ, the good-shepherd, we will be in the right place to inherit our eternal reward.

He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk a little more about what He did and what He is doing. The best thing God’s done is send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord.
