All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (John 6:37)
Last week we learned that since Jesus lives again and forever we can face anything if we believe in Him. Our song for last week was Because He Lives by Matt Maher. It is the will of God the Father that if we believe in His Son we will have eternal life. If we come to Jesus; He will never drive us away from Him. All He asks is that we come to Him and in Him the changes may begin. Our song today will be Come As You Are by Crowder. The link to the song is https://youtu.be/HELQyZNnR-g or search for the song title and artist on YouTube. In Him we come out of sadness from whatever made us that way. The broken hearted may come to let rescue begin. Sinners find mercy in Him when they come kneel. There is no sorrow on earth that heaven can’t heal. We lay down our burdens, shame and pain; when we are broken we only need to lift up our face. Even if we’ve wandered we’re never too far to return to Him. We lay our hurts and heart down and we Come As You Are to Him. For the most part when we finally give our hearts fully to the Lord we come to Him in quite a mess. Like a prodigal we come to our heavenly Father after wasting the life He provided for us until we find ourselves muddy and without hope. God is not angry; He says Come As You Are. I will help and improve the situation that made us hit rock bottom. When we come to the Lord He will never drive us away from Him. He is the Father waiting from a far with a ring and a robe to honor us for coming home again.
The Lord tells us to listen up and come to Him so that we may live. In Christ a covenant was made to us as He promised to David that He would because He loved him (Isaiah 55:3). This makes us able to approach God and be washed from the filth of our sin. Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” He will take the heavy load off our back so we may learn to carry His easier load (Matthew 11:28-30). When we come wherever we are at we are trusting Him to take our burdens and lighten our load. If we are thirsty in life we may come drink of Christ and rivers of living water will flow out from within us (John 7:37-38). All of us can come to Him from wherever we are and have drink when we choose to believe in Christ. Righteousness is given us through faith in Him. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, all of us are sinners and fall short of God’s glory so all are justified freely by grace through the redemption that came by Christ (Romans 3:22-24). The Lord is no respecter of persons everyone is born a sinner therefore redemption can be made equally for us all. Christ is able to save those who come to God through Him because at all times He makes intersession for us (Hebrews 7:25). Christ is there at Gods right hand saying they can come because they have chosen me and I made a way for them. When we come as we are to Him God will come more near to us. First we must come then He can work on cleaning up our sins and purifying our hearts from being double-minded (James 4:8). We Come As You Are to Him and through Christ the redemptive work can be done in us. If what we do brings us no condemnation we will have confidence before God and receive from Him whatever we ask because we keep His commands and do what pleases Him (1 John 3:21). Christ removed the condemnation of our sins so we can come to God as we are with confidence knowing intersesion is being made for all our needs. Come As You Are to Him and He will make us whatever it is we were always meant to be.

The best thing God’s done is send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord. No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
