When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. (Matthew 25:31)
Last week we learned that we can come to God how we are because of Jesus sacrifice for us. Our song last week was Come As You Are by Crowder. There is a day approaching in the future when Jesus comes in all His glory, the angels will be with Him and He will sit on His throne over all the earth. To some this will be dreadful but it will be glorious for everyone who knows the Lord. Days like these only come around when God so chooses to deal with man and His desire to sin against Him. Today our song will be Glorious Day by Casting Crowns. The link to the song is https://youtu.be/nAbs8bNWL5U or search for the song title and artist on YouTube. One day heaven was praising the Lord and sin was still black as it could be. This is when Jesus came to be born of a virgin so He could dwell among us. Our example, the Word became flesh to shine His light in our lives and reveal His glory to us. Other glorious days were creation, the flood, ten plagues in Egypt, splitting the Red Sea, the law received on the mountain, Jesus birth, death, resurrection and us receiving the Holy Spirit. These days happen globally, nationally and personally. A recent Glorious Day for me was when I got married to my wife. We know beyond a shadow of doubt that the Lord brought us together because long distance barely works when two people can drive themselves and neither of us can drive ourselves. Other glorious days for me were my brother surviving birth, seeing Jesus, my salvation, seeing the Grand Canyon, landing in Australia and coming back from almost dying three times.
For these we sing of His glorious name (Psalm 66:2). We sing to let the world know about all the glorious things He has done for us (Isaiah 12:5). The works of the Lord are great and we think about them if we delight in Him. Glorious and majestic are all His deeds and His righteousness endures forever (Psalm 111:2-3). When the Lord works a Glorious Day happens and we praise Him to show that we honor Him for it. By speaking about the glory of the kingdom and His might we let people know who God is. His kingdom is everlasting and His dominion endures through all generations. He is trustworthy to His promises and faithful in all He does (Psalm 145:11-13). There is no kingdom like our God’s where the king can be trusted and praised, we should celebrating this kingdom. The day when the Son of Man sits on the throne, on that Glorious Day the world will experience His glory. The Root of Jesse will be a banner for all people, the nations will rally to Him and His place of rest will be glorious (Isaiah 11:10). That is the place He said He was going away to prepare for us to share with Him. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon blood red before the great and Glorious Day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Acts 2:20-21). Most glorious this day will be if indeed we do call on His great name. To experience His glory we continually ask God to fill us with the knowledge of His wisdom and understanding through the Spirit, so our lives are pleasing to the Him. We bear fruit in every good work, grow in godly knowledge, are strengthened with power according to His might so we may have endurance and patience giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to share the inheritance in the kingdom of God (Colossians 1:9-12). In us God made known the mystery that is Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Everyday has the potential to be a glorious one in Christ and on one Glorious Day all will gather together and experience His glory.

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
