And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
Last week we learned that on our journey through life we can have success if we keep the Lord close by and seek Him every stop. God knows exactly what we need on this journey with Him and as we travel together He will met our needs. A few years back when my health seemed so compromised one of my doctors recommended me to look into getting a traceostomy to improve my breathing. I went to the appointment but they decided my health was fine and wouldn’t follow their recommendation. In September 2015 I went to a new MDA clinic and they brought it up again and scheduled me for a consult with a lung specialist. At that appointment the doctor was amazed at my level of health so much that the word traceostomy never came across his lips. That makes very little sense in the MDA community but since it happened twice I believe that is God meeting my needs in Christ. Another example of this is me being with my wife. I tried hard to find someone on my own but after a few failed attempts I quit trying and God dropped her in my inbox. He met the need I had and the one she prayed to receive for so long. In Christ we receive so much; we have been set free from the cost of sin and death in our lives (Romans 6:23). So there is no condemnation in Christ because the Spirit set us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2). Nothing in all of creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ when we believe in Him (Romans 8:39). God will meet all our needs because He loves us and provides for them from His riches.
Whatever promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ so trough Him the “Amen” it is spoken by us to the glory of God (2 Corinthians 1:20). The promises God has spoken to us and through His word we can stand on them; we can say so be it because in Christ it’s been given to us. In Christ we are all children of God through our faith in Him. If we have been baptized into Christ we have clothed ourselves with Him (Galatians 3:26-27). The way we lived before satisfied our sin but now we live life according to His way. Though collectively we are many, in Christ we form one body, and each of us belong to one another (Romans 12:5). Since we belong to other believers we should be mindful of them, showing them love and using our gifts to build each other up. We are Gods handiwork, created in Christ to do good works, which God has prepared for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). God delicately made each one of us so we would do the good work we were destine to do and in Christ we can do it. If we have faith in the Lord why do we fear? We have no need to be anxious about anything but to prayerfully make petitions in every situation, with thanksgiving we should present our requests to God. And His peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). My wife has a panic disorder and often she feels that her symptoms of anxiety mean she is not trusting God. She does not know what makes her anxious but when she feels this way she fights it and turns to the Lord for her help. Often, not always right away peace will come to the extent where she can avoid taking medication. We are not promised we won’t feel anxious but that in Christ peace will come if we turn to Him. We must rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances; this is the will God for us in Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). In Christ we have access to His riches and every promise God has given to us through Him.
Tuesdays Torch has an official website http://www.tuesdaystorch.com Daily Sparks and Scripture Pictures are further spreading the message of Christ. We have accepted the opportunity for Tuesday’s Torch to be in Redeemed the Magazine for prisoners. The founder and author of Tuesdays Torch Tim Sader, has spoken in church and will be looking for future speaking engagements soon. We pray the words of every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please share Tuesdays Torch and encourage others with it. Recently we partnered with leisurelane.wordpress.com please check it out and send them some love. Any ministries or blogs that would like to partner with Tuesdays Torch please let us know. We pray the Lord will touch every reader. All of what Christ did was so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk a little more about what He did and what He is still doing. The best thing God ever done was send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus their Savior; send a message to: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will pray together. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch on our website, by email, on Facebook as Tuesdays Torch or Twitter @tuesdaystorch Thanks and God Bless!
