The one who is victorious will also, be dressed in white. I will not blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge them before my Father and his angels.
Last week we discussed excuses why we make them, shouldn’t make them and how believers have no excuse to keep sinning or judging others. Our names all have a place in the book of life when we choose a relationship with Christ. When He gave up His life for the sins of the world He paid the sin of everyone from Adam to the Apocalypse. Many of us have been taught that our names are written in the book of life when we are saved or from the foundation of the world. I won’t go as far as to say they are completely wrong but while studying about the book of life with my friend Paul and my mom we felt the spirit reveal something new about it to us. At the cross we are all equal, we were all forgiven and have no sin. So instead of us being saved and added to the book what if when Christ died we were all added into it. God wishes that none would parish and it is also written that we were written in at the foundation of the world. How can this be: how can we have freewill if it’s already decided? Simple if all of our names are written in the book of life holding a place for when we choose to accept Jesus as our savior. What about when it talks about those who were not written in the book? Mostly where it says this is in a post end times vision of John on the Island Patmos. The key being this is after the book has been finished so the names in it are on the final list. When a book is written it must be edited before it is printed so there are no mistakes. The names of the victorious will be the saints dressed in white and they will not be blotted out from the book of life. Christ will acknowledge these names to the Father and His angels they will be in the book of life.
Wicked men who continue doing their crimes; they should not share in the salvation of our God. They will be blotted out of the book of life and not counted among the righteous (Psalm 69:27-28). It sounds to me like many names are written in this book that don’t belong there because they wouldn’t turn their hearts to the Lord. The names are blotted out of or removed from the book of life. Those who work and contend for the sake of the gospel have their names written in the book of life (Philippians 4:3). Nothing impure will ever enter into the kingdom of God, nor anyone who is shameful or deceitful but only those names written in the Lamb’s book of life when the end has come (Revelation 21:27). The rest of the world whose names are not in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb slain from creation; they will worship the beast (Revelation 13:8). In his vision John saw all the dead standing at the throne where the books were open. The book of life was also open. All the dead were judged out of these books according to what they had done. The sea, death and Hades gave up their dead and everyone was judged based on what they had done. Death and Hades are then thrown into the lake of fire which is the second death. All names who are not found in the book of life will likewise receive the second death (Revelations 20:12-15). Anyone who adds to or takes away from the book of this prophecy, God will take away their share in the book of life, holy city and the things written in this prophecy (Revelation 22:19). We all have a share in the book of life that we received at Calvary if we accept Christ and walk in His ways; otherwise our name is blotted out and removed from it.
Tuesdays Torch has an official website http://www.tuesdaystorch.com Daily Sparks and Scripture Pictures are further spreading the message of Christ. We have accepted the opportunity for Tuesday’s Torch to be in Redeemed the Magazine for prisoners. The founder and author of Tuesdays Torch Tim Sader, has spoken in church and has several will be looking for future speaking engagements soon. We pray the Lord will touch every reader. All of what Christ did was so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk a little more about what He did and what He is still doing. The best thing God ever done was send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus their Savior send a message to: email@example.com and we will pray together. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch on our website, by email, on Facebook as Tuesdays Torch or Twitter @tuesdaystorch Thanks and God Bless!
No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
