I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.
Last week learned about deception and how easy it is to be so obviously blinded by it; just like when Delilah tricked Samson into telling how to make him weak. On Sunday my mom and I didn’t get up soon enough to go to our church because we overslept. Thankfully our church shows the services live online so we didn’t completely miss it. They spoke about the prophetic ministry gift and the proper way to share a word to someone to build them up. At the end of the service they had a time of activation for people to see if they could get a word for the person beside them. He said for those of us at home to give a word to the other person in the room with us. If we were watching alone we were to get a word for the first person we think of and write it down to give them later. I was watching it with my mom so after we prayed we tried getting a word for each other. For her I heard the old camp song Kumbayah which means come by me. It is sung to the Lord telling him to come by me when I’m laughing, crying, singing or praying. I felt this was the cry of her heart at this current time in her life and it made her tear up so it was a God thing. All she got when she closed her eyes she seen rubies set in some kind of wall and they had beams of light reflecting off of them. She didn’t know what it was saying to me so we googled rubies and searched bible gateway for scriptures about rubies. Mainly rubies are compared with other non-material things that are far more valuable than jewels, silver or gold. The rubies in the wall to me represent the things in my life with great value that I am building my life around.
One of the hardest substances on earth is a diamond it is a ten on the density scale. A ruby is a nine so it’s quite durable and would be a good building material if it was more abundant. If we seek the Lord He will build our lives with rubies and precious jewels that will not easily be broken. Coral and jasper is not worthless because wisdom is far greater than rubies (Job 28:18). The instructions of God we should choose above silver, knowledge is better than gold and wisdom is more precious than rubies. Nothing in this world we can find that can compare with godly wisdom (Proverbs 8:10-11). In this world money is important, sure we can have gold and rubies in abundance but when we speak knowledge it is a rare jewel (Proverbs 20:15). People pay tens of thousands of dollars to go to college and learn a career. They don’t do this to go into debt they do this because they know the great value in the wisdom. A four year college graduate can earn one to two million more in their career than a regular high school graduate. That education helps them lead the kind of life they want to live; it pays for its self fifty times or more in their life. Another rare thing to find in this world is a spouse with noble character. To find a good wife is worth far more than rubies and precious stones (Proverbs 31:10). A wife gives a man the things money can’t buy. Love is priceless and having children to love is what God told us to do and it can’t happen without two parents, married preferably. The most valuable treasure we can have is a relationship with God and He will make our life more precious than rubies. His people will sparkle in the land we will be like precious jewels in a crown (Zechariah 9:16).
Recently Tuesdays Torch has expanded its reach by building our official website http://www.tuesdaystorch.com . With the addition of the Daily Spark and Scripture Pictures we are further spreading the message of Christ. We have accepted the opportunity for Tuesday’s Torch to be in Redeemed the Magazine for prisoners. The founder and author of Tuesdays Torch Tim Sader, has spoken in church and has several other speaking engagements lined up for the near future. We pray the words of this Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward Tuesdays Torch to encourage others with its message. If there are any churches or ministries that would like to partner with Tuesdays Torch please let us know. We pray the Lord will touch every reader. All of what Christ did was so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk a little more about what He did and what He is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus Christ their Savior send a message to: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help it happen. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch on our website, by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch. Thanks and God Bless!
