You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
The final dream I had related to the Christian Healthcare Commission after I dreamt about the changes my friend made was about the difference faith can make. Even in hopeless situations we can take a stand of faith and no harm will befall us. In this dream I was in a parking ramp seeing an apocalyptic scene. The sky was red and full of smoke when a helicopter battle broke. When the victor flew away things got strangely still. Then there was a low rumble and in the distance a plane flew over and dropped a nuke. People scattered searching for safety when there was none to find. I backed from the edge unafraid and quickly prayed for Gods protection. As the blast approached it hit a wall when it came to parking deck and no harm came to anyone in that area. Scenarios like these will happen in the last days before the end comes. Even in hopeless situations we must not fear because God is with us. By faith in Him we have authority over the power of the enemy. If He is our refuge no harm can happen to us. Even the angels are on assignment concerning us so will not be harmed. God has a plan to benefit us and give us a future. In these last days there will be suffering and loss but if we will stand firm in our faith these things will not shake us. The faithful have a future and will receive eternal life if we are unafraid and hope in the Lord. What are our dreams saying to us? The Lord leads us in many ways so we can be established in our place and shine our light for the world to see. We are to be like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
When others see us established in our purpose they should look up to us seeing what God has built us into. We should think about the dreams and desires God has given us. These are the things that will be established if we are diligent and trust Him to fulfill His purpose in us. We have many plans in our heart but the purposes of God will prevail (Proverbs 19:21). We can come into agreement with His purpose simply by loving Him. If we love Him we will not do the things that hurt Him and will only want to do what He will do with us (Romans 8:28). Those dreams and desires we thought of earlier. We maybe don’t know how to do them, we gave up on them or don’t even know if we can do them. It is God who established our good desire in us to fulfill His purpose. If we desire what is not good those things are not from God but chances are our good desires are from Him. Even then we must be willing to follow what our beloved is doing or we will make it much harder. This may not look like we think it should right now but if we are open to God these dreams will be established. He wants to fulfill the good purpose He put in our hearts to do (Philippians 2:13). His purpose is not always for us to be in traditional ministry. Very likely we can be used for our purpose right where we are at. He wants us to be a city on hill that cannot be hidden through the good He will accomplish in us. If we love God doing this will not be difficult. We will want everyone to see the city God established us to be and it will make them want to be involved in what God is doing. Finally we are established in that city by committing our works to the Lord (Proverbs 16:3). If we do this the thoughts and dreams we have will be established and we will be a part of that city we were called to.
Recently Tuesdays Torch has expanded its reach by building our official website http://www.tuesdaystorch.com . With the addition of the Daily Spark and Scripture Pictures we are further spreading the message of Christ. We have accepted the opportunity for Tuesday’s Torch to be in Redeemed the Magazine for prisoners. The founder and author of Tuesdays Torch Tim Sader, has spoken in church and has several other speaking engagements lined up for the near future. We pray the words of this Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward Tuesdays Torch to encourage others with its message. If there are any churches or ministries that would like to partner with Tuesdays Torch please let us know. We pray the Lord will touch every reader. All of what Christ did was so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesday we talk a little more about what He did and what He is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was send His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer we pray they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus Christ their Savior send a message to: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help it happen. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch on our website, by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch. Thanks and God Bless!
No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
