Tuesday’s Torch
08/27/13
By: Tim Sader

1 Timothy 4:15

Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

Beabled Ministry we have learned is like a wing for refuge and flight. Every feather is important to take the church to a higher level. The feathers are different parts of this ministry that cater to different needs of the Beabled individual needing encouragement. Members meeting together and having a space to meet is a great starting place. The disabled seem weak and it is a despised thing to be unwell. To the world we seem foolish to trust God but these are the perfect opportunities for him to show up. They are chosen, so no one can be proud if they are not humbled first. We have truly humble beginnings and a foundation on the Rock of God. There is no other foundation to build on. Christ told the weary come and I will give you rest. In church if we are Christ-like we will offer the same. He did not ask them to be changed then come. No, He said come and let me carry the load so we can find rest. Each feather of ministry should have a special function. Becoming Beabled, special agents, the private room for worship, the SGP for children and support meetings are just a few feathers we already discussed. Other feathers could be hospital visits, homecare aides, addiction programs, mental health, wellness facilities and new job training. The many feathers of this ministry are to encourage the weary to come and put their trust in Christ and the Body we are supposed be. Beabled Ministry is a body strengthening ministry. By building up those who are weary we gain strength where it matters most and the body will grow into maturity. If together we will be diligent in doing our part to help others grow unity will come and we will grow up into Him. The objective of the Beabled is ultimately healing but we will also be diligent to strive until healing comes.

Though healing happens instantly in some cases often times it only comes after much striving and hard work. However it happens it is from God and He should be praised for giving us the strength to endure through our trial (1 Peter 4:11). Many in the church are suffering sickness, addiction, unemployment and other afflictions. This means the Body of Christ is in a state of illness and needs to Beabled. This is accomplished when every part starts to function properly. While healing our church body the members need to help strengthen one another. As certain broken parts begin to improve; just as in our physical bodies it helps the other parts improve and healing over takes the body (1 Corinthians 12:26). It cannot be stressed enough that the Lord wants us to be diligent in striving after Him for our healing. He wants this to happen so we can be the bride that He wants us to be. Christ left us His glory and the power of the Holy Spirit so we would be one with Him and the Father (John 17:22). Beabled ministry builds its members by us learning to trust in God to help us breakthrough our obstacles. We take refuge and rest under the shadow of His wings where we are safe until we get to where He wants us to be (Psalm 91:4). Everything Beabled Ministry does is to build the Body like never before. By strengthening our neighbors when they are weary we build them up. We are no greater than the one who is least (Romans 15:2). If we will be diligent to do these things we’ve discussed the world will start to see our progress and unity will soon be the answer to the prayers of our savior.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. If there are any churches or ministries that could benefit from the sharing Tuesdays Torch please let us know so together we can spread the light into dark places. We pray the Lord will continue touching every reader. All of what Christ did He did so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesdays Torch we talk a little more about what He did and talk about what He is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was sending us His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer our prayer is that they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus Christ their Savior send a message to: tuesdaystorch@gmail.com and we will help it happen. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch. Thanks and God Bless!

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16

Tuesday’s Torch

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

There is a great benefit for the Beabled Ministry families in each church to meet together on a regular bases to share stories and information within our community. A wing is a multifaceted part of a bird and to grow a wing all the parts of it must function properly. Beabled Ministry is an important wing of the church and when it grows the church will sour to new levels. Since introducing the term Beabled everything we discussed is about growing this wing. The church I attend received a word to stand on Psalm 91 a few years ago. Verse 4 tells us to seek refuge under the feathers of His wing. It is safe under His wing but in that place we need to learn to soar not on our own but to reach the places He called us to. By trusting Him we grow our wings of faith and soon land in that place of healing He promised us. The closer we get to where He is at the smaller our problems get until they disappear from our sight. While under His wing we must develop our gifts so we can be prepared for our place in the wing and in the church. The weaker ones have great value because we need them to be completed. Those under His feathers need special attention from others and none can be greater if every part is necessary. Beabled ministry is a refuge where the disabled grow into wings so together we can soar to a whole new level. Just as wings have several parts to be whole, Beabled ministry has many unique branches of ministry. The different feathers each serve a function in flight and if one is broken the whole bird is limited in flight or won’t fly at all. There are many feathers in Beabled Ministry to encourage them needing encouragement we do what we should be doing.

This Beabled wing of the church starts with meeting together in a group and having a place to meet in the church. The disabled seem to be the weak and in a way despised because no normal person would wish to have a disability. To the world trusting in God for healing seems like foolishness but this really just gives God a better reason to show up. He uses what is despised, weak and foolish to nullify things that are so none can boast (1 Corinthians 1:27-29). Beabled Ministry has humble beginnings but the foundation is strong on the solid rock of our salvation. There can be no other foundation but Christ so we must be careful to always build on Him (1 Corinthians 3:10-11). Strengthening the Beabled in the church is part of us doing what Christ Himself told us. He told us to come when we are weary or burdened and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28). We must tell the disabled to come as they are and let us lighten the burden so they can rest in the Lord. Wings have many feathers and each have a special function or it won’t work. Beabled Ministry needs to have many levels so all the feathers can do what they’re meant to. We have learned how to be Beabled, overcome fears and strive for healing. Beabled Ministry may exist in some ways but we can start educating others, providing an agent to accommodate the needy and having a group for support. We must help Beabled children fit in with other children so the new generation will grow with compassion. Beabled Ministry could include hospital visits, home health aides, addiction counseling, mental health, wellness facility and job training. We might be many feathers together but our cornerstone is Christ (Ephesians 2:20). This ministry is for the church to encourage others in Christ as we already know to do.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. Tuesday’s Torch

By: Tim Sader

Psalm 63:7

Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

Children with needs may need special attention but they cannot be left out or we are forsaking the least in our churches. The Beabled and those involved in our lives form a group that should meet regularly. It would connect us with like minds who know what it’s like and as we become humble our focus is off of us and on helping others manage their situation. When we meet it builds up our faith and knowledge of God. Because of suffering we know about the consequences of sin in the world. This can be a reminder to us of why we should not sin but do the will of God instead. His will is unity so we should love, encourage others and share everything we can to bless others when we gather together. We should not hesitate to speak up and encourage one another one on one or in a group of those we connect with. Connecting together means the Beabled have a team that is there to pray, listen and offer advice in difficult circumstances. Separation into smaller groups is fine to make connections among the body of believers. This group is an outreach to the disabled community by showing they can be an important part of the church not hiding in the back row. It is an opportunity also to those in the church to be involved in building the somewhat weaker ones. Jesus came to those who most needed Him in the church we can do the same by helping the needy. Some parts have one piece they are made of while others have many intricate pieces. A wing cannot be a wing without bone, skin and feathers; together they are part of the body. Beabled ministry is like a wing they form a necessary part of the body. If we build them in the church we will sour to a new level.

Everything we have discussed in the past four months is a part of growing the Beabled wing of the church. The church I am part of is represented by an eagle and eagles need their wings to soar to the highest heights. In 2009 my church received a word to stand on Psalms 91 and many of us would do good taking a stand on it still. Not only do we need wings to soar we need to find refuge under the wings of God. His feathers can be a shield to cover us and keep us safe when we seek Him (Psalm 91:4). His feathers are a shield but there comes a time when we to must soar on wings like eagle. This doesn’t mean we come out from under his protection but we grow our wings to reach the heights He has called us to. If we keep our hope in Him our wings will grow and we will find that place of healing like He promised we would (Isaiah 40:31). The closer we get to heaven the smaller everything on earth seems to be. Whatever the Beabled are facing from where God sits it is invisible and it’s not a problem for Him to make us well. While we wait in the wings for our wings we must develop the gifts he has given us. They prepare us to be part of the wing that is attached to the church and it prepares us to reach the places He wants us to reach. As it’s been said over and over this Beabled ministry wing has the potential to build the entire church body. Again those who are weakest have great value. We cannot say we don’t need these parts because without them we are not complete. These parts taking refuge in the shadow of His wings may need special attention but the Beabled are of great value to the rest of the parts so they won’t think as highly of their position (1 Corinthians 12:21-26). Beabled ministry is where the disabled find refuge so they can grow their wings to bring the church to a whole new level.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message.
