Deuteronomy 30:19

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

To be the Beabled we must learn to think on only positive thoughts and let the Lord handle what we cannot. Worrying about things will not help; positive thinking is the beginning of living by faith. Having faith means we must act on it by doing everything we can to improve our situation. If we will step out of what is comfortable we learn that through God we can do all things. When Jesus healed usually it was because of someone acting out in faith. The man with the withered hand had to stretch it out to meet Jesus in the middle. We must learn to do the things we desire by trusting in the power of God to help us do our good desires. Those saints who have gone before us are cheering us on so that by faith the Lords work will be completed in us. Faith does come by hearing the word but without our action it is dead. Taking small steps will lead to us accomplishing bigger things till we overcome our circumstance. Faith needs action or it is incomplete and we cannot be righteous without it. We should not just accept our current circumstance instead we should act out our faith and meet Jesus halfway. We must choose life by living life and not choosing to follow a path to death. Choosing life means we do not hide in the house because of a disability. We choose to escape our four walls and have a social life even if we need a grand entrance wherever we go. We should experience life to fullest not doing what we want but what is good and pleasing to God.

It doesn’t matter if we think no one cares for us because God does and if we trust Him we will be a blessing everywhere we go. He cares so much for each of us that he even knows the number of hairs on our head (Matthew 10:30). If we stop and think a minute about all of what God has created yet He loves each of us like sons and daughters. This is truly amazing because who are we but a speck of dust in the universe (Psalm 8:3-4). Since God takes time to love us we are all special and deserve to live our lives by following the desires of our heart. Being treated differently or getting attention where we go should not matter because we are important. The Lord has a good path of life set before us if we choose to walk in it. The Beabled will choose life for our whole life till we reach our place in glory (2 Kings 18:32). We should pursue relationships, set education goals, make friends, volunteer, have a career, start a ministry and follow the desires inside us. The God who created everything has made us just a little lower than the angels who carry his glory. Everything is subject to them but yet we have charge over them and they desire to be us so they can make the choice to serve God (Hebrews 2:6-8). If we are almost like angels we need to live our lives to the fullest since we have the choice they desire. The Beabled choose to live like we are already healed by having the life we want to live not letting a disability stop us. Life isn’t always easy we may make mistakes or get a broken heart but if we do not live our life we will miss out on it. Heaven and Earth are witness against us; we have two choices life and blessings or death and cursing. We must chose life so we can live and pass it on down to those our life might influence so they choose to live life to.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. If there are any churches or ministries that could benefit from the sharing Tuesdays Torch please let us know so together we can spread the light into dark places. We pray the Lord will continue touching every reader. All of what Christ did He did so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesdays Torch we talk a little more about what He did and talk about what He is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was sending us His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer our prayer is that they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus Christ their Savior send a message to: tuesdaystorch@gmail.com and we will help it happen. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch. Thanks and God Bless!

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16

Luke 6:10

He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was completely restored.

The Beabled understand who we are in Christ and He is our strength to press on through lives struggles. We don’t focus on the temporary “I can’t” but rather at what we can do to serve the eternal purpose. We must learn to think on positive things not focusing on our limitations all the time. Positive thinking is the beginning of faith living not seeing things how they have always been but how can be with the Lord. Worrying over our circumstance will not help in any way. God knows what we need before we ask so if we trust Him He will help us. On this earth we are subject to the curse so we long for the day we get a new body in glory. Through Christ we chose the new man putting our flesh to rest and trusting in what is to come. The Spirit in us is proof of our new self He will lead us so we know the right way to handle every situation. The Beabled don’t follow any voice but God and we filter every choice based on what He says is best. The doctor says surgery may help or medicine. But what is the Spirit telling us? We must choose to follow God in spite of everything else. Thinking good things helps us focus on the Lord and keeps us from wrong doing so we will remain free of the curse. We must only think on what is true, pure, lovely, just, good, virtues and praise worthy. There might be negative circumstances surrounding us but the Beabled know who God is and follow Him by faith. Having faith means we do what we can do even if it’s hard or uncomfortable to help activate our faith. Even doing things we think we can’t do with assistance will help us see the possibilities are endless if we have the faith to do it. We must learn to get out of our comfort zone and take the first step to activating our faith.

When Jesus healed people often times they had to do what seemed uncomfortable to seek and receive their healing. Some of them yelled loudly, pressed through crowds and had friends lower them through the roof. The man with the withered hand Jesus told to stretch out His hand. He had to do what was difficult to meet Jesus halfway knowing He could do the rest. The Beabled find ways to do the things they would do if they had no disability. Those of us in wheelchairs could ride in a car, sit on the couch or go for a swim. The more we do outside of what’s comfortable the more able we become. God has called us all to Him; His power will help us fulfill our good desires and deeds when we stretch our faith (2 Thessalonians 1:11). We have a great cloud of witness waiting on us to let go of our burdens and press on in faith looking toward Jesus to finish His work in us (Hebrews 12:1-2). Remember faith comes by hearing the word of God but we must also do the word for it to work in our lives (James 1:22). As we take small steps of faith we will find ways to accomplish more and by faith we will, WILL ourselves out of our situation. Faith and action work together and is completed by what we do not only by what we hear. We are considered righteous by what we do and not by faith alone. Faith without works is dead so we must learn to do the things necessary to activate it (James 2:22-26). We do not have to accept anything that brings us down only God has the final say so. We must be wise in our actions but the Beabled stretch their faith by doing what we can to meet Jesus in the middle.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. Tuesday’s Torch

Deuteronomy 11:26

Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.

The perspective of the disabled is an important asset to the church just as the perspective of every member. The disabled should not take their focus off of healing rather they should look to the Lord to guide them through it. In the church the disabled should not focus on I can’t as much as I can that is why they can no longer be disabled. Instead they are Beabled believers who focus on what the Lord has enabled them to do. Anyone can Beabled in many ways by taking our eyes off of the circumstance and onto God. Externally we waste away so we change our focus to the eternal because it lasts forever. Those who feel or are disabled need to make two lists, one list of disabilities and another list of things we can do instead our beabilities. Pray about and seek God to fix what you can’t change and keep doing everything you can do to help yourself and make it through the fight. Our very own beatitudes are the blessings we have in spite of our circumstance. Though healing is the Lords perfect will we must be content in all circumstances because the Lord is our strength in these temporary afflictions. Sometimes all we can do is wait on the Lord and let Him continue to renew our strength. We have been Beabled to make it through because God loves us and has given us the victory. When we focus on what we can do we are practicing positive thinking. We chose to live by faith allowing God to lead us in the direction we will go. We always have two choices we can only see the negative in our situation or we can be positive and walk in blessings.

The disabled are often faced with many hard facts about their health and wellness. Dwelling on those things will not help us get the happy outcome we desire. The Beabled however have nothing to worry about. We should not worry about what we should do in any situation that is the way the world thinks when trouble comes. All we have to do is seek God above all else and He will satisfy all our needs according to His riches in glory (Matthew 6:31-33). This earth body we have now is being destroyed so we long to receive a new body in glory that will not pass away. When we put on the new man we will no longer be exposed to the curse that destroyed what we once were. Even when faced with death we receive life because God designed us that way. The Spirit has been deposited in us so that we would have the evidence of what is to come. If we will practice faith living by following the spirit we will know what to do in all situations. We walk by faith not by sight. We follow what God wants in spite of the external circumstances that we see. We must filter all decisions in the Spirit. Some medicine may help us but a risky surgery maybe best not to do or the opposite might be true for you. Our goal must be to follow the Lord no matter in this body or the one to come. We must think on what is good not on the bad because we will reap accordingly to how we live (2 Corinthians 5:1-10). The Beabled must learn to think in regards to the blessing. Thinking on what is true, honest, just, pure and lovely, of good report, virtues or worthy of praise is positive thinking (Philippians 4:8). Focusing on a new symptom, bad report or getting depressed is all part of the curse. The Beabled chose blessing this day by following the spirit and thinking only on the right things.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. Tuesdays Torch week 227

Tuesday’s Torch
05/07/13
By: Tim Sader

Romans 8:37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Every believer has their own perspective on Christian living based on the experiences they have had. The Beabled also have their own perspective that can be a benefit to other members in the local church. The disabled believer has been through hard times so they can be a benefit to each other and the church when troubles come. They have learned the Lord is their strength and can teach us something about surviving the fight. We cannot judge anyone for not being healed if their trusting God for all their needs. The Jews seem like enemies of God but still they are Gods chosen ones. Some people may never be healed but still they can serve the Lord in whatever condition they are in. Not everyone has received or was taught about healing but as they grow this may change but we must let God do His work while we learn from one another. God loves us all and we all have a perspective to contribute to the benefit everyone else. Our own special gifts make our perspective unique. Everyone shares one foundation in the Lord but our differences make us important to each other. By them we are built into one body united for the Lord. This new perspective is not intended to keep the focus off of healing but rather to look at the Lord to lead them through the process. The disabled need to try and focus on something better than the conditions of their disability. This is why in the church disability must have a different name we don’t focus on the bad but on the good and grow from there.

In previous weeks we have already seen the word used several times. The disabled who choose to fight their battle with a focus on the Lord are the Beabled. They do not focus on the lack of or “dis” ability but on what they are “Be” abled to do through Him. I want to point out also that the disabled not only are the Beabled. We all have struggles and things that disable us in many ways; addictions, wrong thinking or hidden sins. All these things disable who God wants us to be and that is what He has Beabled us to be. We must be steadfast and not lose heart when we face any struggles as believers. The external is wasting away it is only here for a moment and it will never outweigh our eternal weight in glory. No longer can we focus on our temporary trouble but on what God is doing for the eternal solution (2 Corinthians 4:16-18). If we feel we have any kind of disability we should make a two column list. On one side list what we feel we can’t do and on the other side list something we can do to make it better or to replace what we cannot do. The “dis” ability list we put in God’s hands to work out. The “be” ability list is us doing what we can do now so we get our focus off the disabilities. These are our beatitudes; when we can’t do such and such we are still blessed because we can do this (Matthew 5:3-10). Though we should never give up seeking healing until it comes we must be content in all circumstances. Whatever our need may be we must look at our blessings and be content with it. We can do all things through Christ. He gives us the strength to make it through our temporary afflictions (Philippians 4:11-13). Sometimes we must wait on the Lord and He will renew our strength. But we must do what we can while we wait. In whatever our disability is through the Lord we are Beabled to make it through the battle no matter how long it maybe. God loves us and cares for us all and we are more than conquers against whatever obstacle we are up against.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message.
