But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
After finding out I was in the right place the Lord wanted me He started showing me a plan for Christian Healthcare. This plan I realized was part of the larger body of believers I belong to. What the Lord calls us to we contribute to the greater good of us all who together are one. The Lord is the vine and our branch of ministry is connected to Him. Being connected gives us access to what God can do for us. We are one with Jesus so the glory given Him we can take part in if we chose to. Remaining in the vine means what we contribute benefits those within our family of believers. When we are united each part plays their role so together the full purpose can be reached. Those who minister to us receive great joy in seeing us together doing our part to make it all for one. Being like minded with Christ means we’re doing what He wants us to with those around us so together more can be done to bring greater glory. Still in 2010 when God came to me with fire in the night and started downloading info on me; when I had no way of writing it down. At night when God sends this stuff I have to wake my mom to be my writer. She doesn’t mind but the middle of the night seems inconvenient to be doing much of anything. Anyways just as so many before me have felt inadequate to do that thing God has shown them to do; I felt it in that moment. Why would God choose a cripple guy with no money or college degree to take on bringing Healthcare to the church? I am still new at understanding this but I know I serve a Big God and He can work big plans even in who might seem to be a little less than qualified.
Through the generations the plans of God go on and on forever. When He calls us to do a thing His plan is working through us. Our job is to follow Him and He will make us qualified for that impossible task. When God spoke to Moses in the burning bush telling Him to go back to Egypt he felt unqualified to do it. God told Moses that He would be with him through the whole thing until he returned to sacrifice on that mountain (Exodus 3:12). Moses questioned God three times when God showed him some miracles and afterward still he told God to find someone else. Though Moses felt unqualified to carry out this plan; God being with him made him perfect for the job. The tasks God gives us may seem to big but just trust Him because He will make you able to accomplish anything. The Lord already knows the plans He has for each of us. So before Moses or I knew what God would ask He knew and He made no mistake choosing us to accomplish that plan. His plans seem hard but they benefit us in many ways, prospering us and giving us hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11). The good plans in our heart most often come from Him so if we commit our plans to Him they will be established (Proverbs 16:3). His plans stand firm even trough generations. It was David’s plan to build the temple but Solomon his son built it instead. There were many patriarchs that before us felt insufficient to carry out the plans of God. Through denying ourselves of sin like them we should trust in God to be with us till the end of our race. He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2). He is the finisher of His plan in us because He went to the cross and made it possible.
We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved. We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers. Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. If there are any churches or ministries that could benefit from the sharing Tuesdays Torch please let us know so together we can spread the light into dark places. We pray the Lord will continue touching every reader. All of what Christ did He did so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesdays Torch we talk a little more about what He did and talk about what He is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was sending us His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer our prayer is that they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus Christ their Savior send a message to: email@example.com and we will help it happen. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch. Thanks and God Bless!
No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16
