Tuesday’s Torch

 1 Peter 5:8

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

If we belong to the Lord He will help us with the plans placed inside of us. He is our source if we stay hooked to Him our branch will produce fruit. When God came and downloaded on me a plan in the night. I felt inadequate like many did in the scriptures but my God is big and He can work big plans in the least of us. God makes no mistake when He calls us to do a thing. He makes us qualified to do the tasks that seem impossible in our minds. The plans in us He put there if they are good and His plans never fail. His plans benefit us and give us hope in the future knowing it will be accomplished. His plans are through generations the plan David had to build a temple was accomplished by his son. We accomplish His plans in us by denying the flesh of sin and trusting God to help us finish our race. He is the author and He finishes all the plans He has made. Again in 2010 I had a disturbing dream one night. In this dream my mom and I were moving boxes out of our house. Nothing was in our living room except the refrigerator waiting to be removed. As we started moving it outside the neighborhood was dark. In the sky flying was a large demonic bat creature stalking overhead causing fear. I feel it was trying to keep us from wanting to finish moving out of our comfort zone. The plans of the Lord almost always come with a counter attack from the enemy but we have overcome by the blood of the lamb.

The plans we have my seem just a little more than some impossible dream to us but if we trust the Lord we know it will be finished. We cannot focus on the nothing we see right now it is only temporary. Instead we need to see it finished and serving the eternal purpose He planned for us (2 Corinthians 4:18). Chances are those plans will not happen without having to jump hurdles put in our way. Just as God has plans for our benefit Satan has plans for our distraction. It is a constant tug-of-war and we are the flag in the middle big pulled in both directions. Our enemy is stalking us making us afraid hoping to pull us in His direction and to our own destruction. He wants to devour us so the plans of God will not be completed by us. The evil one’s plans are to kill, steal and destroy us in whatever way he can. That means he wants the plans of God in us to fail. But God has planned for us to have an abundance in all things (John 10:10). If we let Him pull us He will help us over those hurdles. The Lord laughs at the wicked plots against us because He knows their day is coming (Psalm 37:12-13). We cannot fight this enemy with bombs and guns like they do in the world. We have divine power to defeat the strong hold the enemy has on the rope pulling us away from God (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). To battle the enemy we must clothe the inner man with our battle gear. We do this by following the path of truth, faith and righteousness so we can be pulled along toward the message of the gospel. Our enemy is evil He attacks the spirit so we can’t fight him in the flesh. We defeat Him by building our faith, spending time in the word, confessing it and praying the enemy be defeated (Ephesians 6:11-12). The enemy has plans for our destruction but if we go the way God is pulling He will bring our plans to life.

We will be expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch to shine our light so others can see it and be saved.  We pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into the hearts and minds of readers.  Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so we can encourage them with its message. If there are any churches or ministries that could benefit from the sharing Tuesdays Torch please let us know so together we can spread the light into dark places. We pray the Lord will continue touching every reader. All of what Christ did He did so we would believe. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what He did (John 14:11). Every Tuesdays Torch we talk a little more about what He did and talk about what He is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was sending us His Son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer our prayer is that they will meet the Lord. If anyone wants to make Jesus Christ their Savior send a message to: tuesdaystorch@gmail.com and we will help it happen. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch. Thanks and God Bless!

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Luke 8:16

Tuesday’s Torch

Psalm 33:11

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

After finding out I was in the right place the Lord wanted me He started showing me a plan for Christian Healthcare. This plan I realized was part of the larger body of believers I belong to. What the Lord calls us to we contribute to the greater good of us all who together are one. The Lord is the vine and our branch of ministry is connected to Him. Being connected gives us access to what God can do for us. We are one with Jesus so the glory given Him we can take part in if we chose to. Remaining in the vine means what we contribute benefits those within our family of believers. When we are united each part plays their role so together the full purpose can be reached. Those who minister to us receive great joy in seeing us together doing our part to make it all for one. Being like minded with Christ means we’re doing what He wants us to with those around us so together more can be done to bring greater glory. Still in 2010 when God came to me with fire in the night and started downloading info on me; when I had no way of writing it down. At night when God sends this stuff I have to wake my mom to be my writer. She doesn’t mind but the middle of the night seems inconvenient to be doing much of anything. Anyways just as so many before me have felt inadequate to do that thing God has shown them to do; I felt it in that moment. Why would God choose a cripple guy with no money or college degree to take on bringing Healthcare to the church? I am still new at understanding this but I know I serve a Big God and He can work big plans even in who might seem to be a little less than qualified.

Through the generations the plans of God go on and on forever. When He calls us to do a thing His plan is working through us. Our job is to follow Him and He will make us qualified for that impossible task. When God spoke to Moses in the burning bush telling Him to go back to Egypt he felt unqualified to do it. God told Moses that He would be with him through the whole thing until he returned to sacrifice on that mountain (Exodus 3:12). Moses questioned God three times when God showed him some miracles and afterward still he told God to find someone else. Though Moses felt unqualified to carry out this plan; God being with him made him perfect for the job. The tasks God gives us may seem to big but just trust Him because He will make you able to accomplish anything. The Lord already knows the plans He has for each of us. So before Moses or I knew what God would ask He knew and He made no mistake choosing us to accomplish that plan. His plans seem hard but they benefit us in many ways, prospering us and giving us hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11). The good plans in our heart most often come from Him so if we commit our plans to Him they will be established (Proverbs 16:3). His plans stand firm even trough generations. It was David’s plan to build the temple but Solomon his son built it instead. There were many patriarchs that before us felt insufficient to carry out the plans of God. Through denying ourselves of sin like them we should trust in God to be with us till the end of our race. He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2). He is the finisher of His plan in us because He went to the cross and made it possible.

Tuesday’s Torch

 Philippians 2:2

Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

In 2010 I finally was at a place spiritually where I felt closer to the Lord then at any point in my life. One night shortly after l went to sleep I heard the Lord tell me that I was in the right place He wanted me to be. When I woke the fire of God was on me and He revealed to me some of my vision for healthcare. Finding the right place for us often seems hard to believers but chances are if we live devoted to God it won’t be so hard. We might make plans but the Lord establishes our way to do them. The Lord is with us all forever so if we chose Him and do things His way we will find ourselves in the right place. Jesus went to prepare us a place for eternity so here on earth surely we have a place as well. If the treasure in our hearts is the Lord He will lead us to the exact place He wants us to be. To find where we belong all we have to do is follow the Lords direction. The Lord than showed me that what he was preparing was part of the church I attend. Immediately I realized that each of our ministries is just part of a larger puzzle held together by the Lord. Each of us are an important part to our Lord. Christians truly are called to be musketeers because in Christ we are all for one and one for all. Just as my part belongs in the church with others each of us has something to contribute to the greater good of us all.

The Lord is a vine and we are the branches connected to that vine. Our new life we have is we have because He is the source and we are part of Him. If we are not hooked up to Him we will perish and be added to the burn pit. By remaining connected we have unlimited access to the vine that supplies us with everything we need to become the branch we’re growing into (John 15:5-7) The prayer of Jesus is for us to all be one just as Christ and the Father are one. The glory given Christ also belongs to us because we are to be one with Him. This means the part that we been given has access to the same glory Jesus carried with Him (John 17:21-22). Remaining in Him means that what we contribute brings God glory because it is all for Him. The body of God is called to be like one large family. Each of us has a role that we contribute to the whole. That way when we come together like the early church believers each of us adds to the full purpose of all. The early saints were constantly together so that all would remain in unity with the same mindset and purpose (Acts 1:13-14). The writer of Philippians tells us that His joy would be fulfilled in knowing that we would come together as one. That way we could be like minded in reaching the glory we share in Christ. We must come together with the vine so we can be part of what He’s doing. Without being together and sharing one mind we cannot function properly. It must be all for one or we accomplish nothing on our own.

Tuesday’s Torch

03/05/13

By: Tim Sader

 Proverbs 16:9

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

In the past few weeks we discussed where my life was at physically, spiritually and emotionally in 2009 as I was having some of these dreams. I started the torch, lost the woman I was madly in love with and became part of a new group to keep my eyes on the Lord. God really helped me get through a hard time that year. He placed me in a position where I could relate to others on a spiritual level and He restored my emotions. In this home group I presented some of what the Lord was showing me concerning healthcare and it was confirmed to me that the Lord was in it. Meeting together is a very important part of us growing our faith and finding our own calling. When we miss the fellowship of believers we miss being built together with the members that will strengthen us. When we gather together the Lord gathers there with us and gives us power to accomplish greater glory for Him. Also forever is a really long time so we need to get used to being together now. The home group my family joined was a big encouragement to the vision the Lord was building in me. When we meet it is to build each other and carry the burdens together so our faith can grow. Together we should remember the great things God has done by praising Him and building the body with gratitude and songs of joy. Do not forsake gathering together instead encourage and build each other up to continue steadfast in the faith. We all need to find the church or group of believers that minister most to us. We need to know we belong and that God has placed us right where we are supposed to be.

Early in 2010 I had an experience with the Lord as I was sleeping one night. I heard in a somewhat audible voice, “You are in the right place for this time.” I woke up abruptly just a few hours later very hot with the fire of God on me. That night He began showing me what I was to know about healthcare and the Kingdom of God. Being in the right place at the right time is an important part of being used by the Lord. Chances are we can be used where ever we are but sometimes there is a place where God needs us to be. So how can we know we know we are where he wants us to be? If we are following Him then there is a good chance we are where we should be. Alone we make many plans but the Lord is the one who plans our steps. He brings us all to where we need to be. The Lord is always with everyone and if we are tuned to Him He will get us where we need to be in an easier way. His wisdom will guide our steps in this life and the next. If we make Him our desire He will be everything we will need forever (Psalm 73:23-26). The Lord has sent His angels on ahead of us guarding us and preparing our path so we will end up where we are going (Exodus 23:20). Jesus Himself went away to prepare a place for us in eternity. If we believe things are on earth as in heaven than here He prepares a place for us as well. We know how to get to our place there so if we follow Jesus here we will find our place to (John 14:1-4). Those who are enemies of God because of only keeping their minds on worldly things will find a path to destruction (Philippians 3:18-19). The treasure in our hearts should not be of this world (Luke 12:34). We should be focused on following the path of God so we can be in the right place He’s prepared for us. If God is the treasure in our heart the right place is the place where following Him is most important.
