Tuesdays Torch week 204

Tuesday’s Torch

By: Tim Sader

 John 17:21

So that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Last week we learned about our relationship with God being restored through Christ’s shed blood. This reconciliation is the resolution for sin so our relationship with God could be restored to what it was meant to be. When bringing offering to God we are to first be reconciled with anyone who has anything against us. God had sin against us so before we can offer ourselves to Him we must be reconciled through Christ. While still Gods enemies we were saved so how much can we boast in reconciliation when Christ lives inside of us. Christ is the fullness of God and all things are reconciled through His blood. Because of evil God did not know us but in Christ we are not guilty. He made us holy. By being steadfast in the faith we continue in the ministry of reconciliation making us not guilty of sin. Not only is reconciliation to restore our relationship with God. It is to restore our relationships as fellow believers so we can be united and made one body in Christ. Jesus prayed that we would be made one just as He and the Father are one. So then if we trust in Him we know that we were reconciled so that we could be made one just as He prayed we would. Our ministry of reconciliation is for us to put aside our differences so we can be one body of God.

All of us are different in our own way, some more obvious than others but still unique none the less. The differences I have faced were always quite obvious and got me a lot of attention through the years. When I was just a little child I wasn’t as fast as other kids, in fourth grade walking became difficult and as a teen I started having to use a wheelchair. These were all difficult times when I didn’t want to be different. As I faced these trials I noticed the differences are what made me who I am. If we will learn to embrace our differences we will better be able to see how we fit together as one body of believers. In Christ our differences determine what part we are in the body. We all belong to one Spirit but we each have our own role so without us being our part the body is not complete (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 27). Before Christ our differences separated us from God because we were not “His people.” In Christ we have been made one through His blood. His peace makes us a new humanity so together we can be one body reconciled with God through the cross (Ephesians 2:11-16). Our differences united in this gospel of peace make us members made to be one people in Christ (Ephesians 3:6). In Christ, though we all are different He makes us the same and equal with each other. No one group is considered better than any other not by race, gender, social status, government or religious tradition (Colossians 3:11). If Christ be in us we are made one in Him. The differences we have only means that we fit somewhere in the puzzle that is the body of God. One day we will be made one in Christ He prayed it so we should embrace our differences so that together with peace we can be made one.

I will be working on expanding the reach of Tuesdays Torch and transitioning it into other forms to shine my light so others can see it and be saved.  I pray the words of this Tuesdays Torch and every Torch will sink into your hearts and minds as you go about your busy week.  Please feel free to forward The Torch to others so it can reach more people with its message of encouragement. If you are involved in churches or ministries that could benefit from the sharing Tuesdays Torch please let me know so together we can be torch bearers to carry this flame into dark places. I pray the Lord will continue touching each of your lives. All of what Christ did He did so we would believe in who He is. He told us not to believe because of what He said but in what he did (John 14:11). Every Tuesdays Torch we talk a little more about what He did and testify to what he is still doing. The best thing God has ever done was sending us His only son so we could be saved (John 3:16). If anyone is not a believer my prayer is that you will meet the Lord so He transform your life. If it’s on your heart to make Jesus Christ your Savior send a message to: and we will help you do that. Look out for next Tuesdays Torch by email or find it on Facebook by searching Tuesdays Torch or by clicking here also please share and like our page. Thanks and God Bless all of you!

Blessed are you who enter in God’s name—from God’s house we bless you! God is God, he has bathed us in light.  Psalm 118:26-27
